Well I did it! I contradicted myself and put a photo in the contest. I said I wouldn't post a pic of me alone because our profile is a couples profile.
Well 4nik has no bewbies! Well it has been over 10 months since I came to NZ and countless resumes being sent but I finally got a job!
It is not the best job in the world, not in the medical field and only part time but I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. I will at least get out of the house, do some physical labour and make a few bucks. But most of all I will have a NZ work reference! That in it's self may open more doors for me in the future. Damn, it is here again already. Seriously tho, it is that time of year again where your either happy as hell or just plain miserable. Seems there is no in between for some.
I know it is a hard time of year for a lot of us and I am no exception. For the last 8 years Christmas has had a dark cloud over it for me, more so than the rest of the year. As I am no different than a lot of parents that lose a child, holidays are always hard. Christmas is the hardest for me because four days before xmas, me and my family's world came crashing down around us eight years ago. To anyone that has been through it you know what I am talking about. But, on a lighter note tho I am trying to make this xmas a little different. Our Christmas shopping is finish and will be wrapped soon. We are going to put up a tree this weekend and wish for snow. lol Anyone who knows NZ weather gets how funny that is. For all of you at SA going through the holiday blues just remember that there is maybe someone out there a little worse off than you. I know I think about a lot of you and what your going through right now. But tomorrow is a new day and if it's not better tomorrow just wait it will change. I hope you all have a great Christmas this year and spread the joy to someone else, they just may need a shoulder. Happy Holidays to all of you! What Friday is to me

For those of you that don't know Friday here in NZ will be Thanksgiving in the US
 because of the time difference. It has always been a special holiday to me and my family. We as most other families celebrate it with food and just being together without the stress of the rest of the world around. Since most of 4nik's family does not understand the whole American holiday thing we will be celebrating it alone this year and to have a dinner like that for everyone to enlighten them would cost a small fortune here. But...... I think I will keep my son home from school and we will call everyone at home to see how they are doing. We will just spend the day together alone since 4nik has to work and has a work obligation after that. Hell we might make a pumpkin pie from scratch, ya can't buy them in the store like at home. lol For those of you wondering if I am still ok here....I am fine, just a little home sick right now. I know that will in time lessen and by then we will have went home for a vacation. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving no matter who your with or where your at! For those of you that don't know about Thanksgiving, ask an American on here or just goggle it. It is a wonderful holiday. Even if your alone now, I am sure there is at least one good Thanksgiving memory in your life to make you smile about. I know I have many. If your going to be alone on Thanksgiving think about going to a homeless shelter or a nursing home , that would be the highlight of that person's day and maybe yours too.
