On this Veterans day, I appreciate the "thank you's" and hand shakes, I thank those who never served, and their offer. What I would REALLY appreciate is that everyone take a moment and understand the "veteran".. He or she is one that volunteered to serve for whatever their own reason was. They endure countless heartache and loss. They don't have the comfort of complaint, just the opposite, they "suck it up" and move forward. They don't have the luxury of "coming home at night" after a hard days work, to a nice dinner and family. They often sit with comrads with what is available to eat, while still staying vigil. They often don't celebrate their birthdays, holidays, death of a family member, or even birth of a new one. They spend their days in far off lands, where their only family is the one's they serve with. This being said, when you extent your hand or your appreciation to a veteran.. please make it heartfelt.. they will look in your eyes and know it's genuine..

My personal salutes go out to our allies with whom I've served.. Noteably U.K. (SBS&SAS), Germany (KSK), AUS. Navy, Canada (Royal Navy Divers).. Furthermore, the countless number of civilians and military members that I've served with over countless other countries.. THANK YOU !!

Wow, people really coming together for this funraiser for my daughter and ex-wife.... My first wife, her family, friends from work, people I don't even know, etc. etc. Volunteer's to pull this off are the best, kitchen help, security, door, band, bar, omg... I'm getting worried the 200 lb. pig may not be enough.... thank gawd for sides and deserts....

Also, I want to thank all or my SA friends for their kind words..

Child Support and more!!

A couple of Fridays ago, my ex was in the upstairs rental of the rental house she and my daughter was in.... within the hour, I'm told, the smoke alarm went off in the downstairs apt.(my ex's and daughters apt.). As my ex went down to investigate, she was overcome by smoke, and advised her neighbor to get out. Luckily my daughter was with a friend at a roller rink..... fast forward an hour... 3 fire departments are fighting a house fire, out of control.... They lost everything... Well hell, my child support got doubled some time ago when I landed a great job (I was not in arrears)... They lost everything... My ex is a mooch... They lost everything.... So I thought.. It's summer, I'm a member of the VFW, got friends in bands, and own a kick ass pig roaster/BBQ grill trailer (still with thought.. They lost everything)............. and so.... on July 15th my double child support payment will come out of my check, as I get things ready for the Pig Roast, Fundraiser at the VFW with an auction of crafts, as well as raffles.. not to mention, 3 different entertainment venues to carry the event to the wee hours of the morn'. Why? Cuz I love my daughter with all my heart, and my ex needs the help.... AND... I CAN

I met Fasn8me in the early years of Sexy Ads. I believe he was in FL when we first chatted..... while I never met him, I've always believed him to be a true "gentleman".. I've seen him "fire up" against a disrespectfull males, females, CD's, TG's and TV's in chat, If he believed you to be disrespectful or rude?? He'd let you know. I've seen him console a lady who may be going through a tough time, I've seen him private chat a man that he thought he may help with kind words... (did it with me when I lost my girlfriend and my house) I've seen him promote the advantages of positive attitude. I've seen him welcome new members to SA, regardless of race, color, or gender. I've seen him carry on as if nothing was wrong, so that his friends would not worry...........And now............. I've seen him leave us...

This I know...... There are very few people that walk through our lives, that, in reflection, can be construed as a "fine human being".. Fasn8me deserves that honor............. May you rest in peace my friend.... keep the beer cold for me!!!!

On this Holiday weekend, can we take a moment to reflect on those that gave us our freedoms............. While this may be an American Holiday.... I have served with some of the best men and women in the world...... Some came home and some didn't, but all......... no matter what country they were from gave their ALL!!!. While America will celebrate this weekend, I would like to pass condolences and thanks to those in other countries who have lost hero's..... My hat is tipped

Many thanks for your comments re "The Falklands" 1982....appreciated them.

Always Interesting to hear someone else's thoughts and perspective on such an "historical incident"...and Interesting to hear you'd just been supplied with the Iconic (probably because of "Top Gun"?), F-14's....as they've now outlived their service for the USA Navy?...much as the "Sea Harrier", (so Important in the Campaign), has now been deemed "obsolete" (or too exspensive?) by the UK Ministry of Defence.

Certainly true today, that kind of Operation could NOT be carried out again by the UK alone.
