Ms Bee firstly I didn't call anyone stupid. It's not a word in my vocabulary when making reference to a person. Nor was that implication in what I said. You inferred, my apologizes for possibly misleading you.
Maureen has it right. I have a legal agreement with my wife. That's all. No more no less. Currently I have three female friends. Only one of which includes a sexual relationship. Frequently a relationship IS only friendship. Particularly as one ages. Someone to have dinner with to see a movie with a show or just good company and conversation. If it leads to sex that's good too. But sex doesn't mean a lifelong commitment. There are a few absolutes in my life one is to be generally tolerant of other people and their ideas, to try to see life from their point of view. Also I don't date married women. Ha hard to believe I'm sure. I will contact them but if the husband is unaware of his spouses activities I'm not interested. And if they are separated firstly I try to determine why. There are two sides to every story. I wont make light of this as it would seem to some that I'm mocking them. So for all intents and purposes, I'm married and date other women, I am a cheater. So be it. a new one

Joined in a forum (Chatter) regarding marrieds. Wow there are some bitter folks out there. Mostly because they dated someone they didn't know was married I think. Someone lied about it (duh), they fell for he/she. If you are becoming friendly enough to sleep with someone you sure didn't do your homework. Or maybe their marriage collapsed because the partner cheating getting laid without the others knowledge?
My suggestion is that there are different situations. I've been separated for many years although I listed my status as married/attached for a couple of yrs here so as not to mislead someone interested in a permanent relationship. We have no intention of divorcing, very expensive, and there are other monetary&family considerations. Neither of us has a need to remarry. We're friendly, get along well now that we're not in the same house and date occasionally. Our kids are cool with it, they are all adults with their own families. Neither of us is crude enough to bring a date to a family gathering. What surprised me on the forum was the absolute certitude about cheaters. No grey areas there for sure. No compromises, if you're married you are cheating!!!! that's it, fini. Sometimes when perusing the profiles here, reading the ads and the like I'm surprised to find so many of you hate the thought of dating someone, who while not attached isn't exactly un-married. H'mmmmmm.......So to meet a woman here I've got to be divorced otherwise I'm the dreaded "cheater". OK I've thought about it long enough; nope, I'll keep things as they are. Honestly, sometimes I wish I had no desire for women at all. It's just too damned complicated.
