THANK YOU to everyone who sent me birthday wishes!! Still thankful for this lovely community and the sweet souls who are part of it, just have given up finding someone who is right for me. Oregon is beautiful and I am working now, THANK GAWD, and have a routine, don't mind the rain.

I just wanted to stop in and thank my many friends who have journeyed with me during the move to Oregon and the caring for my father. Daddy passed away very peacefully on Thursday, January 12th at exactly 11:30am, with my mother and myself by his side.
There is a hole in my heart the size of the Pacific ocean, but his last words of "Love you" a few days before will forever try to fill it. A little advice: Forget any differences you may have regarding 'things', 'hurts' and 'stuff' that went before, as people will be gone before you know it. Hold your loved ones near and tell them that you love them every day. I am grateful to have been able to share and care for him these last few months, and will forever be Daddy's Little Girl. Peace to U all and many bright blessings to U an Urs... D~ NOT ANYONE'S UNPAID HOOKER

Ok, so I have not been adverse to the FWB (friends with benefits) thing because of my situation w/my dad's illness.
I have been intrigued by and met a few gentlemen of late who were looking for FWB, but in doing so, I've discovered that men and women don't seem to define "FWB" the same!! Woman: Friends, with intimacy benefits...companionship, going to a movie or an event, snuggling, cuddling, kissing, sex. Man: BENEFITS, period...no friendship, no movies or hanging out or cuddling and kissing, JUST SEX. Gentlemen, this equates to the woman just being an unpaid hooker!!  I had met a nice young man and we were planning to spend New Year's eve together, until he got invited to a friends' and didn't consider me enough of a friend to take w/him, but was ok w/me coming over to his place afterward to stay the night! That is NOT treating me like a friend!!  If U just wanna get laid, then change Ur ads to NSA without the "or FWB" status, or booty-call bandit! It's frustrating to waste so much time and energy into getting to know someone and meeting them to find out all they want is to get laid. What is the problem with the FRIENDSHIP part anyway??? UGH!! Sorry, but I guess I needed to vent...just so frustrating for me to waste precious "me time" (as I devote so much to my dad's care I don't have a lot of time for myself) on someone I had hoped wld work out to be a friend and lover, to find they just want a booty call once in awhile. ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!  OH, and BTW:  GROCK2112!!
