Firstly, this post is not directed at anyone in particular, it is how ever inspired by a post. Like most of us I will read thing that will make me want to make a post. Sometimes I will read other opinions off the net. On Occasions I will post part of other text within a posting I make…too my shame I rarely credit the original poster.

On all occasion I do personalize my post to reflect my own opinions, personality and beliefs.

If you are going to post a full article, blog post or opinion other another person’s opinion without edits and personal additions, I feel you should state that is what you are doing…Add something like “I found this article I would like to share…”

Sometimes I do not do justice to some of the subjects I discuss. I feel free however to express my opinion on the subject none the less. It is how you all get to know me and who I am…

On the subject of expressing yourself, we all have the basic human rights to our opinions. I encourage and applaude healthy discussion and indeed dissention on our blogs. Everyone has an opinion and has the right to have that opinion heard. Attack the premise of the argument not the person posting it. The greatest things we cherish come from frank and open discussions.

We do not judge people based on their belief systems; we can try to change that opinion. I encourage every one of you to make posts in your blogs, that way we get to know you just a little bit better, and on occasions we get to know ourselves a little better too…

I am writing this basically in response to another blog post. Firstly let me say right from the start that rape is never acceptable. It is indeed a horrific crime and an unacceptable violation of a person.

According to several articles written by universities and psychologists 30% of women have rape fantasies. The real question is however is how are they defining rape…In essence is the process of being engaged in a nonconsensual act. Being forced to do something against their will.

Ok so fantasies like this are consensual, nonconsensual act…OK that is a contradiction but it is a game. In some of the articles I read they seemed to think that a lot of this comes from “romantic novel” where the hero ravishes the woman initially she resists but is over whelmed by the lover.

Ravishment is the new word used in BDSM circle to encompass this to a degree as it is softer than using the word rape. That being said many still hold the fantasy.

It seems some of the underlying reason are as follows:

It allows the person to do things that for some reason they consider to me morally wrong…Interracial sex, Oral sex.

Sexual freedom allows a person to have wild dirty sex without any guilt

For other it is part of the need to be dominated

There is some very interesting reading on the net on this subject this most amazing is this Rape fantasy is the Third most common one for women.

While I understand the position of the initial post the underlying core to this fantasy is the rape aspect. I see no problem with the fantasy in the consensual, non consensual role play.
