...And likely as not, that's the way you'll want to keep it. No offense intended, I'm just a realist and that's the way it is. I don't expect more than that. It's built into my personality.
That being said, I have made some friends here, some close, and one who is very dear to my heart. They all have the same thing in common; They have communicated with me and in that process, have found me sincere, intelligent, and my hallmarks; Helpful and loyal. I've been described as fatherly and a big-brother type. I enjoy this aspect of myself; It fills my soul with joy and gives my heart wings. I am a ready listener, and even more ready to offer advice and opinion if that's what my friends seek. I also enjoy the relaxation that comes from long conversation, whether by Email or chat. I do have an off-the-wall sense of humor, and my self-deprecation can take some getting used to. Still, whether in a forum post, a blog entry, a comment, or in a chatroom, my humor sometimes has a tinge of honesty in it. If i've kept your attention thus far, it's now time to go over my little pet-peeves: ...I prefer Emails rather than tickles. While I'll answer both, I believe if you're too lazy to actually write a letter, then you're not likely serious. ...I don't fish. I've been around the block more than once in my life and am quite comfortable with myself. In short, I don't write to every woman I see. If you're interested, write and say so, don't view my profile 100 times or flirt with me endlessly hoping I'll respond. That's just way to junior-high for me. ...I spend time in chat; Usually in the bedroom or dungeon. You'll find I try to be as much a gentleman as I can. I try to be respectful, and outside of the occasional double-entendre, I don't engage in overly-sexual discussion. It's just not me. ...While in chat, I DON'T PC. Those on my friends list and the individuals I previously described have access if they so choose, all others will have to keep things in the main room or Email me. I'm a paid member, so can read and write as many letters as I wish, and I hate to see all that money go to waste. If all this sounds arrogant, I don't mean it to be. If it sounds like I'm a little jaded and wary of others, that's closer to the mark. I am though, confident enough that if you choose to reject me because of this ad, then that's your loss. A couple of winners… Shanniepie finally announced the winners of her essay contest. I know, there was supposed to be ONE winner, but being a woman, she couldn’t decide on just one. Congrats to Desert of the DesertNMoon tandem, and as well to SexyAds favorite screwed-up sexual deviant (Well, second favorite, next to me) dv8too. Naked is as naked does… It seems to be the “in” thing to do around here if you want someone to read your blog. Kiwilicious has done it (twice), the aforementioned shanniepie, and IAmFrustration lured unsuspecting individuals by promising a vote on the matter. Being a proper gentleman, I would never do such a thing. Of course, catch me in the right mood, and who knows? And another winner… Oldsoldier1965 took honors in Mike_EJ’s forum posting contest, successfully posting in all of SexyAds forums within a seven day period. Now all we have to do is figure out if he did this for the membership or the promised pic of EJ. My guess is the latter… Quote of the week… “I could have so much fun with your brain.” (Scary shit, ain’t it?) OIC party a success.. For everyone except the good, god-fearing residents of Freeport who were so frightened that they nearly called in Buffy to slay the invading demons that demanded booze and sex. Actually, both nixiekay and OhBabyYes have posted pics of the highly successful event on their blogs, and if you have the time, you should take a look. I also have it on good authority that the men involved are still recovering… One last attempt to explain “Who Viewed Me”… I’ll keep this as simple as possible: VIP members may view any and all profiles of VIP and non-VIP members, and may do so anonymously but not posthumously. This pertains though, to profiles that were posted on a Tuesday, and then only in months without an “R” in them, otherwise; VIP members may view their own profiles but if doing so anonymously, will then not know if they had indeed, viewed their own profiles. The exemption to this occurs only during January as long as there is no full moon on an odd-numbered day, in which case only those viewing posthumously can also view anonymously, keeping in mind that only VIP members will know who is viewing them posthumous-anonymously, while standard members will only know the actual number of posthumous viewers. …Is that clearer now? Here goes the controversy again… This time over the photo contest. Look folks, read the damn rules (leghumpers can have someone read for them) It’s a photo of your undies, from BEHIND. Since there are not a whole lot of perverts interested in bra-straps, that pretty much means your own BEHIND, clad in something akin to jockeys, briefs, boxers, panties, skivvies, knickers and etcetera. I am in the camp that personally thinks too many entrants skirt the “pink bits” rule, and for that reason I’m starting a voter-rebellion. If you believe the photo in question lacks the necessary criteria, don’t vote for that entry. I am also advocating a “free-member” voting block, which means I vote 1 for VIP’s and 10 for free members. (Boy, am I gonna get hate-mail over this!) And finally… My own thoughts and prayers to those families and friends of our slain heroes in Ft. Hood, Texas. Whatever the reasons for this senseless attack, let us set aside any judgments and biases about it until after the evidence and facts are given to us. It is more important now to support those who have been personally hurt by the tragedy, and those among us who are hurt by the actions on a spiritual level, that of understanding through camaraderie. Absolutely nothing happened this week… Oh yeah, I guess there was that little change about who-gets-to-view-who. As things die down now from the week of points and counter-points, digs and counter-digs, and pros-and-cons, let’s all get back to normal. Those who aren’t happy will leave, those that differ in that opinion will stay, and new members coming on won’t know the difference; Likely most of those will look around and say to themselves, “Damn, there’s a lot to do for free around here!”. And, of course, the usual assortment of leg humpers just kept right on humping legs, oblivious to the activities. Show them to me?… Come on now folks, don’t any of you find it rather eerie that everything he said in that song that Maureen imbedded is exactly the same lines used in chat? I even perved the profiles of male members around here, because I’m 99% sure he’s got to be a member… …And likely a free-member at that. Quote of the week… You know what? It being Halloween week and all, I didn’t get into chat all the often to actually get one. There was one by shanniepie, but decorum prevents me from repeating it in mixed company. (Like I don’t know that most of what shanniepie says can’t be repeated in mixed company). Chuck and Red… Congrats you two. You two look like you should’ve been together forever, and I wish both of you good health and great sex. (I’m sure you guys have already handled the second part of that). And finally… A short column this week. Between the turmoil around here and me getting ready for the holiday (Yours truly gets to scare kids at a local Halloween carnival), I just haven’t been able to do my usual digging into your private lives. I want to wish all of you a happy and safe Halloween. If you have kids, be sure to watch them closely and screen any goodies they bring home. If you’re going out partying, PLEASE don’t drink and drive, tonight more so than any other. The excited little ones aren’t watching for you, so you have to watch for them, and there’s 2 places I don’t want any children going: Hospitals and morgues. Have a great weekend!!! Maybe it’s because I live in California that I’m not surprised at the degree of criticism being leveled at Maureen and Jayce over the recent and VERY mild changes made to the site in regards to “Who Viewed Me” and their tie-in to VIP memberships. I mention my state of residence because California is likely the most “Free Lunch” state in the nation; A state where it’s inhabitants routinely demand all the social-services they can ask for, but complain when someone mentions raising fees to pay for them.
Maybe it’s because people from all over the country and certainly some abroad have been spoon-fed the utter idiocy that all businesses are nothing more than multi-million dollar operations intent on gouging the “Little guy” in favor of their greed. Maybe it’s the “All About Me” attitude that has evolved slowly over the years since they or their parents or their grandparents attended Woodstock. What happens to someone else is of no concern to them, as long as they’re not personally “inconvenienced”; The theory that if something adverse strikes them, it’s not up to them to adapt but rather someone else’s job to solve the problem for them. Reality sucks, doesn’t it? Yes, I know what you’re thinking. I’m a VIP member, another one of “Those” people who has it all, at least financially, and one of “Those” people who doesn’t care about all the little folks out there who are free members. As for the latter, everyone who knows me knows I don’t look for the little gold star next to your profile pic as the ultimate decider of whether I should associate with you. As to the former… My paycheck comes out of the state’s general funding. Over the last year and a half, I’ve weathered furlough days, 3 notices of possible layoff, one pay-cut and the specter of another, not to mention a separation of marriage. I won’t even bring up what the eventual divorce might mean. Yet, despite that, I still made the decision to become a VIP, for one reason and one alone. The ability to send out Email to anyone I wanted and receive it as well. I thought it a small price to pay then to be able to make friends and communicate with those that showed an interest in me. And I have made friends, some of which I would gladly put ahead of family. This of course meant I had to attach what importance being here holds for me. That meant assessing the cost. I enjoy eating out, 4-5 times a month. Now, that’s down to 2-3 times. I like taking in a movie a few times a month. I don’t have to tell folks how much that has cost lately. Now I only go when it’s something I absolutely have to see. In return for these sacrifices I have enjoyed talking (And arguing) with people from all over the world. In return for those sacrifices I have talked (And argued) with men and women of every political and social persuasion. I have learned much from those folks and hope they have learned some about me. I kid a great deal about getting hate-mail, but the fact is, my eyes light up whenever my SMS signals that I have new mail here. Now I’ll go all patriarchal on some of the you complainers. - If you can find a better website out there, please go. Part of being competitive is about service as well as price, and a huge reason why SexyAds is as popular as it is comes from the services provided…FOR FREE. - Start thinking about something else besides your own pleasures. Leanne went out of her way over a year ago to help me get registered when I was having problems, and that’s the first thing I thought about when she lost her job. I thought about that because I have compassion. Some of you should look that word up in the dictionary. As for TwoE? How many times did he get up in the middle of the night because the chat server went down and deprived some of you FREE chat-addicts your favorite outlet? Moreover, how many of you have had he or Jayce go out of their way to try and solve YOUR computer issues? Try and find that kind of service on another site. I wish them well, and my heart is with them and the others who had to be let go, all because Maureen and Jayce wanted to limit the impact on YOU. - Think about what could have happened. Maureen and Jayce could easily have done what other sites do and “nickel and dime” members to death. Those who have visited those other sites know what I’m talking about. Worst case scenario is that the site we’ve come to see as family would be bankrupt, and there wouldn’t be one to complain about. Imagine the revenue if Maureen had simply started charging $5 or 10$ bucks a month for camming privileges. That certainly would’ve generated revenue, as well as cure the leghumper headaches. - Instead of bitching, try thinking of something to improve the site and attract more VIP memberships. How many of you have mentioned SexyAds to friends or posted the link on your Yahoo or MSN profiles? How many of you have some expertise that you could lend to the site? Instead of “WTF is wrong here?” Let’s try “Let’s Save Our Site”. Yes, I’m even contemplating donating some of my time. - Realize that this may not be the end of things. The economy is not improving all that much, for anyone, and further changes may have to be endured. It’s my personal opinion that “Who’s Viewing Me” isn’t going to do much, but I’m not privy to the overall cost effectiveness of it, so it’s just an opinion. …Let’s hope I’m wrong. On a personal note; While I appreciate sarcasm, if one is acting like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum over something they can’t have, I have no problems treating them like one and telling them to behave. Yeah-yeah-yeah! I screwed up… Last week, I mentioned that the big OIC party was being held in Chicago. My bad. It’s being held in Freeport (BFD right?) My apologies to BigNips4U for short-circuiting her synaptic system… Quote of the week… “Why don’t you show us your dick?” (This actually seems to work on most leghumpers. Wonder why?) New Chat Room… The #Boudoir has opened for business, though there aren’t many chatters yet (These things take time) NO explicit cams! KODOS Emerges!… Yep, finally saw KODOS in chat, though still no word on why he backed out of the mud-wrestling match with michelle36D. Apparently, the cops assigned to the road-crew he was on wouldn’t let him log-in Boy, those Florida cops are sadistic!!… Scottishlover Emerges!… That’s right, finally saw SA’s favorite girl-with-a-six-gun in chat the other night, and this reporter was anxiously awaiting to see how the meet with kclimb went. Two words summed it up; Swine flu…Glad you’re better Scottish… Spammer infestation… Maureen has killed off so many spammers lately that John Walsh is going to interview her for America’s Most Wanted. It’s keeping her from doing the things she really wants to do around here, like warning women about me. We can help out though, by reporting them when we see them or feel their evil presence. Maybe then word of mouth will convince them to go elsewhere, like AFF, where they belong (Damn, is that gonna get deleted?). A smidgeon of ads?… This intrepid reporter has noticed just a hint of advertising around-abouts the site. While it’s more of a public-service type thing (Sites for background checks and the like), it’s sort of a system shock for those of us unused to seeing them…Still, best place in the world to be. So, who’s winning?… Obviously, I’m not considered on the “must-tell” list, or else shanniepie would’ve let me know personally who’s winning her notorious essay-contest. Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to offer my journalistic integrity to people. And finally… Whenever any of you men out there feel as if you haven’t got a chance at success with the romantic end of life, check out the forum posts for Loverman20088. Your recent blog on chat room etiquette, etc. was in no way "droning" on. It was on point and a thoughtful missive, whether or not others agree with your views and/or suggestions. I, for one, appreciated the time spent in composing your thoughts and putting them in a cogent and well-considered attempt at bringing semi-order to an ongoing problem. On Saturday, I "lost it" in the Bedroom and was rather aggressive in commenting on the leghumper directions and nasty comments to Officewoman. I believe she misinterpreted my comments on the "amateurs" as being directed towards her, where they were intended elsewhere. Again, thanks for your time and thoughts.
