This morning, the judge granted that I am now legally a Female and my name change was granted also.
This has been a very emotional day but I am grateful that this is done now on to what seems to be an endless stream of paperwork to be done.
One day at a time.
Whatever it is you might think is impossible or out of reach you will never know if you can do it unless you take that first step, then keep on stepping no matter how hard it might seem.
YOU can do it!

Im flying out in a couple of hours and I shall see you good folks after I get there!
The day after tomorrow is my name and gender change!  Yippppeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Im going to be working for Harriet full time.
She doesn't know it yet, her children are easing her into this. She is so independent and she doesn't like feeling like she is incapable of being on her own.
Wednesday night Im flying back to California, Friday is my court date to have the judge grant my name and gender change.
Right away I have to go to social security and DMV to have those changed over. On the 22nd I see my doctor to get my hormone levels checked, then do a lot of taking things to the SPCA Thrift Store, mostly clothes.
My car is at the mechanic right now being checked over for the drive across country.
I will probably hit the road right after my doctor appointment.
I will be driving Harriet to Gloucester where we will be June-October, then back here to New York. I have been to her home there when I would go back with Josie. Its right on the ocean. Its really a stunning home.
Im one very lucky girl in so many ways.
If someone told me three years ago what my life would be like today I would have told them they were crazy that my life never unfolds nicely, there is always something to mess it up.
That something was my brain and how I was thinking.
When I changed my thoughts my life changed.
I am so very very lucky and fortunate and its important to stay humble and right sized and not take anything for granted.
I am always saying "Thank You Thank You" all day
I gave Harriet my closing bill today and she looked it over then said "Ninety-three dollars for a taxi to JFK?"
I said that's what the cab company quoted me and that she also had paid for my trip from JFK to the house last month, her daughter put it on her credit card.
I know she is anxious for me to leave on Wednesday and Im very ready to get going myself...I have a really beautiful life ahead of me and I want to dive on in!
