Hello...make yourself comfy and let's get to know each other.
Men Seeking Women
I'm a pretty decent and clean man, who has some really "interesting" aspects to my life. I'm probably one of the least imposing people you'll ever meet. I'm seeking a wonderful relationship with a woman, for a long term. Ideally, this would be a lifetime gig. I feel we need to be in agreement on most things, but realize that in a healthy relationship, there should be enough differences to make it interesting. I will never hide anything from you, or lie to you, and expect that you would have these values a well. I'm looking for a truly loving woman who understands that although we might not like the "drama" in life, realistically, it IS in all life. "The world is but a stage and we are mere actors upon it" "William Shakespear"

A new twist on an old saying
Wednesday, August 3, 2011
There's a great deal of truth to the old saying, "it's like closing the barn door after the horse has been stolen".  This applies to guys I believe.  Now for women, there's a whole new twist.  "Women will surely steal the horse and to hell with the barn door"!

Many, many thanks to you all!!
Monday, February 21, 2011
I wish to express my sincere thanks to all of you that read my blog yesterday.  It would be easy in this day and age to become jaded and convince yourself that really, nobody cares much.  However, being the positive person I believe I am, I refuse to allow that to happen and that's why your support has meant to much to me.  It reassures me that most people are really very caring even though they don't know you personally.  This is truly a wonderful bunch of people.  Again, thank you all so very much!  Arnie is at peace now.  He was met by a truly loving God at the very moment of his demise and was taken home where we shall all meet again someday.

NEVER take ANYONE for granted!
Sunday, February 20, 2011

It's been some time since I posted in my blog, but this week has moved me to share an experience with you all, that I know I'll certainly never forget as long as I live.  My friend "Arnie", and a fellow Vietnam Veteran Brother, was very sad for the past two months.  His wife of nearly forty years left him about two months ago.  No one knows why but knowing her like I did, I will never pass a negative judgment on her because I never had to walk in her shoes.  If you aren't inside the marriage when things go sour, you have no right to judge why someone would do such a thing.  They were both excellent friends to me and as far as I'm concerned she's still like a sister to me.  That's the way things were.  We were really extended family to each other.

When Arnie called me to tell me the news, my wonderful friend (who was normally happy go lucky) was sobbing so hard he could hardly tell me of his pain.  I tried my level best over these last two months, to uphold his spirits and show him support the best way I knew how.  As nearly as anyone can figure, last Tuesday night Arnie took his own life.  I've learned over my six and a half decades of experience to never take anyone for granted.  I'm glad I never took Arnie for granted.  We knew we were very special to each other so in that respect, I have no regrets.  I do have tremendous sadness as a result of this awful thing and I don't know that I'll ever get over it.  In a way, I hope I don't.  It goes to show you how much I truly loved this honored brother and that's something I'll never be ashamed of.

If you EVER think that a friend, or relative, or even a stranger is showing signs of despondency, take it SERIOUSLY.  You just might be able to save a life if you'll just show you care.  I wasn't able to, but I'll always know I tried my best.

Long Distance Relationships
Monday, October 25, 2010
I see I've been a bit remiss in keeping up with my blog but I won't put an entree in it unless I feel I truly have something of value to contribute.  Today, I just wanted to briefly touch on  the subject of forming long distance relationships.  It's true that they can be very stressful but sometimes it's worth it if you've found someone that you really think you'd enjoy, and are not trying to PLAY them.  Really when you think of it, long distance doesn't mean squat if you really love that person.  Some people might never consider having a relationship like that, and that's fine too.  I'm sure they have good reason for how they feel, but I'd just like to say that sometimes we loose sight of the importance of our own unique individuality, and that there was only one like us ever made and there will never be another one.  Thank you for reading my two cents worth today.

The History Channel (Watch out...Yet another Rant!)
Wednesday, July 14, 2010
I watch the History Channel, Discovery, and The Learning Channel a lot when I have the time.  They're all chuck full of good information and teach me things I would have never dreamed were possible.  The History Channel has so many interesting and entertaining subjects, but they discredit themselves in my opionion, when they run shows like "Gang Land".  I think it's irresponsible of them to run that show period!  If I had my way about it, there would be laws against running such trash!  I'm a firm believer of freedom of the press AS LONG AS THE PRESS IS UNBIASED AND RESPONSIBLE IN WHAT THEY AIRE.  Yeah, I know..."if only we all lived in a perfect world, right?!!!  My whole objection to them running that crap is that it gives people who would normally be nothing more then macho punks by themselves, a bully pulpit and glorifies them, giving other young people the idea that it would be so "cool" to belong to a gang like the infamous ms13, crips, and bloods etc. AD NAUSEA.  It makes them look like heros to people who are less fortunate than most of us.  I wish they'd declare open season on them all so we who only want peace in our lives, could legally eradicate them from the face of the earth forever.  The problem with people like me is that we would only procreate violence it we were allowed to do that and the world would be a worse place than it is now.  Why can't the History Channel and the like GET A DAMNED CLUE???!!!!!  What say you all??
