So much has happened since the last time I was here, Im not sure where to even begin. I will just go from today. Im sitting here in my bedroom that is mine again! My brother has moved out into an efficiency. It is small but just right for him. He had been here with me. I had given up my room since it had its own bathroom. I was sleeping on the couch since I left early before everyone else and could just use the bathroom attached to my daughters room that had a door to the hallway. I know, TMI, but it worked. As of today, hes in his own place, going to 2 meetings a day and actively seeking a job. Hes eating much better. He looks good, has the excitement back about getting on with his life and knows he has a struggle ahead of him. His marriage is over, so I am afraid that may set him back at some point. If it does, I only hope he knows Im here. Its such a good feeling to have knowing he is starting over, and excited at the same time. But here I go.......I worry about him being lonely.....I know I know I know, hes a grown man.......but still, hes my brother.......
 I can almost breathe....

Here I am and I realized Im not holding my breath waiting for something to happen. A friend of mine is a sponsor for AA. He recently told me a few weeks ago that if my brother was going to hit rock bottom, it didn't mean I had to hit it with him. It was OK to love and support him, and offer him the tools to recover, but I can't make him use them and I don't have to hit that bottom with him. Those words may just have saved my sanity. They make perfect sense and although I KNOW it, no one ever came right out and said to me, he may hit rock bottom, but you don't have to. Wow, I know it sounds corny, but Im doing everything I can and that hit home for me. I thank him every day for those words. I tell my brother every day I love him, but for the first time yesterday I told him he has pissed me off. Im disappointed in him, but I will love him no matter what. He is back living with me after a week alone in his old house that just sold. That was NOT a good idea. But, the house is gone now, and this is his ONLY choice for now. No matter what, I will support him as best as I can. I must be crazy.......

This is just an update....I'm feeling a bit stressed so I thought Id get on here and unload. Well, my brother was doing well for a bit. But, he fell of the wagon. He was arrested, charged with DUI and released all in the same night. Go figure. Our county is a drinkers heaven. He actually wasn't driving at the time but because he was sitting in his car and it was on and he was drunk, he was charged. he had driven to the end of the street to sleep in his car and got the car stuck while turning it around. He got it out, and had parked it, but left it on and the Police showed up..The rest you know. He is now staying with me 24/7. So, now there are 4 of us here in the condo, lol. This time last year I think I was alone and turning the guest room into my Serenity room, now it has my daughter and her boyfriend and I gave my room up to my brother. I now sleep on the couch. Hopefully this wont last long. Then again if it does.....We do what we need to for family, right?
