Waiting is the one thing we all hate to do,
Whether waiting in line or end of day it's true
Patience , understanding, reality or time
Are all needed to stave off the hunger when we pine.

Our mind wanders and flicks thru scenarios here
 Whether Real or imagined they can be cause of fear
Those little insecurities stored deep in the head
 Crawl slowly to invade the thoughts we most dread.

What are they doing? Where might they be?

Are they Feeling my pain,  as I doubt they still want me,
Awash with emotion, panic and tears
 Heart ready to explode because you're not near.

I try and contact thru all the channels you go,
Yahoo, FB, SA and your phone but each a no show,
Then as I crumple in despair, an inconsolable mess
 A light flashes on the phone, I feel anxious I confess.

Do I dare check to see if it's the one I miss so
Or stay hiding in denial prolonging the final blow,
 I suck a deep breath as light headed I get
Shaking fingers struggle to find the keys to open it yet.

Panic , fear and heartache are replaced by utter delight,
As it is you I have waited,  saying you are alright
Busy and tired , yet you have thought of me too
I suddenly forget those doubts after hearing .. I Love You...
