I'm creating this post in response to ***'s blog of June 25, 2009 titled "Angry".  Those who have not read it, should.  It is a very powerful reminder of the hundreds of thousands, many of which are children, that are afflicted by, and dying of, malaria.

I attempted to post a comment to ***'s blog, but either SA or he has not approved it, so I thought this would be a more direct outreach anyways.

I was moved by the "Angry" blog...moved in thought, and moved to action.  All the empathy in the world, without action, does nothing to alleviate the conditions of the suffering.  A simple google search for the terms "red cross" and "malaria prevention"  will bring up a great link to an article of the Canadian Red Cross titled "Canadian organizations come together in the fight against malaria".  It is easy to follow links from that website and that article to learn more and to do more.

My Challenge:  According to malariabites/dot/net page of the Red Cross website, the cost of an insecticide-treated net is ...that's CDN to significantly affect, and even save, a life!   less than the price of lunch in downtown Vancouver, BC.  I've just finished making my donation.  I challenge all my fellow Canadian SexyAds afficionados to do the same....for the cost of lunch, you could save someone's life.  And it is so easy to do.  You could do it right now, from the comfort of your chair, while sitting at your computer....
