Another One Bites The Dust
Monday, May 16, 2011
Fifty-nine years ago a hotel casino opened called the Sahara. Small for that time frame but none the less it grew and prospered over a period of time. Then the dark times hit. As of 2pm today the Iconic hotel closed it's doors for good. I have had the pleasure of staying at the hotel before I moved to las Vegas and even stayed since I lived here. This hotel has gone the way of The Frontier, The Stardust, as well as the Desert Inn. The northern end of the Las Vegas strip is said to be suffering and it is. However one has to ask is it all the fault of the economy or do we have people running businesses that have no idea as to what they are doing?

Vegas Style
Monday, August 9, 2010
Hi there. Welcome to Vegas Style. Wow!! I cannot fathom that I have lived here for thirteen years now. I have learned a lot since moving from California. I am originally from New York and there are similarities as well as differences. Although I understand change has to happen sometimes, Vegas in a way is killing there history with the closing of various hotels such as the Frontier, Stardust etc. There was supposed to have been another hotel built on each site of the a for mentioned hotels however the economy has halted that, for how long no one knows. As with any major city Vegas has been through its ups and downs. So let's see where Vegas is headed. Stay tuned
